I’m sure ‘Nick and Norah’ would ‘infinite playlist’ this band!

So I gave a little taste of whats to come to this blog, last week when I  told you all about The Pennyroyals…and i’m hear to deliver on that sneak peak. This next band also came to my attention thanks to The Crash Moderns (see? it pays to look up bands that other bands are friends with/fans of themselves!).

Man On Earth (http://www.facebook.com/manonearth?ref=ts) is yet another up and coming band from the New York City area.  Lately they have been playing shows here and there around the NY/NJ area with The Pennyroyals and The Crash Moderns. When these bands aren’t playing shows, you can find them  on Facebook tagging each other in their status’ telling their fans to “become a fan” of the other two bands.

I found it interesting that they have quotes in their biography on the facebook page describing their sound at “britpop” even though they are an American band, for the most part….reminds me of another band that were linking themselves to that island across the pond from the US….The Takeover UK.

Some bands that come to mind when listening to MOE:

The Takeover UK, AFI, and a bit of Lostprophets would fit into the description too.

But like I say w/ all these entries, words do not give you the full expierence of what this band is about, so go clicky clicky to the links posted at the bottom of this post and STREAM THAT SHIT till your all rocked out!

Pretty much, they are hitting both sides of the musical spectrum, some songs are more on the poppy side, others are more on the indie side, and others just plain ROCK, like the real rock and roll sound, none of that overdone and washed out rock that is ripping off the blink 182 era bands of the 90s.

I think REAL rock and roll is making a comeback!

Basically, if you dig The Crash Moderns, then I’m pretty sure you’d dig Man On Earth(as well as the Pennyroyals). After hearing these three bands have been playing shows together, i gotta say, that’s a damn fine lineup. It’s like a Buy one, get 2 Free deal!!!

It’s like buying a candy bar from a vending machine and then the spiral gets stuck, so you wack the machine a few times to release your candy and then, to your surprise, two more candy bars fall with the one you paid for! So you know those extra two candy bars are gonna be just as amazing as the first one! Same w/ these 3 NYC bands!

Must be something in the water….ha, who are we kidding? Must be something in the BEER!  hahaha!
