A couple of the current Music Scout bands have some pretty exciting shit going on with themselves at the moment and I wanted to support those bands by spreading the word on whats new with these bands since I last presented a blog feature on them. I’m thinking that I might do and Update 101 entry each week just to keep things up to date with the bands I have introduced you to.
So here goes, Matt Friction(formerly of the Pink Spiders and Cheap Shots fame) announced in February that there will be a Matt Friction and the Cheap Shots ALBUM coming out sometime next month(April 2010). In addition to that news, Matt and Nathen(Hensen) have joined forces with Brandon Jazz(The Armed Forces) and their mutual friend to form yet another NEW band, entitled The Dozen Dimes. The Crash Moderns are at a crossroads in their band career at the moment and need your help so they can get back on the road to play for their fans across the country again! After completing work in the studio recording their newest EP, “In Case Your Listening”, they are short on funds right now and are in need of buying a new touring van. To help them save up enough money to buy the van they want to get they have put on a little contest for music fans and TCM fans alike.
They decided to create a little game show/contest that allows fans to donate whatever money they can to the New Van fund in exchange for awesome and random prizes!! Prizes ranging from a TCM CD or shirt to free admission to a TCM show in your TOWN! HELLS YES!
